News week 3 - April 20-26 2009

Page history last edited by Bob Hofman 3 years ago

Dear friends,

This week is the start of week 3 of your learning circle Education in the 21st Century

The second week of posting your questions.

We have learned that the Students in PTC Soroti have left early for holidays; they did all very well by posting the questions on time. Well done!!

We welcome the 4 remaining Dutch teams to post their questions in the week ahead.

Questions

ONE sponsored question?

Each of the schools in your Learning Circles is requested to send ONE question;

The final result of the Learning Circles depends on your question. How can you trigger the minds of your Learning Circles partners?

First of all check the Wiki and read carefully which domains of learning the already posted questions address.

An open question that relates to the theme Education in the 21st Century and goes beyond a search for facts and figures,

A question that will deliver good answers as ' food for thoughts'.

Did you have time to read the article in the wiki "what's education for?" ?? It is meant to trigger your thoughts.

The outcome, the summary of the answers (week 8-9 ) will be your contribution to the Circle.

There are plenty of items in the domain of 21st century learning left... what about:

-       Relation between formal and informal learning ( in- and outside school)

-       Ownership of learning.. is it shifting?

-       Textbook driving learning versus learner owned social network learning?

-       What is more important.. the correct answer or  problem solving skills?

-       Address one preferred learning style or use technology to address many?

We challenge you to be creative and surprise us with your answers!!
